The AX620B100 model.
Weighs just 2.8 lbs.
Aluminum with a metal ball and socket head unit.
For the cost, I think it’s a one-of-a-kind, but, there are better tripods.
But, this one is battle tested, and has endured through some serious weather
conditions, and many, many painting sessions.
NOTE: For larger canvases, larger than 18×24,
this tripod is a tad bit lighter duty, though I’ve managed a 24×36 on one with a very light breeze
(a heavy duty tripod, rated for 25lbs or more, is recommended).
Almost ANY tripod will work with the Daytripper Easel set-up, but some are more ideal than others.
Many will be inadequate for various reasons, but this tripod
is pretty ideal because it is light, easy, and ticks all the necessary boxes!
