Backpacking into one of North America’s most stunning mountain ranges, the Wind River Mountain Range in Wyoming, this 12 minute video follows in the footsteps of the great, Scott Christensen. Before the trip, I consulted with Scott to get the good beta on where to enter and spend some time. He delivered with a great base camp locale which allowed for shorter day trips into some of Americas most amazing alpine wilderness. You’re going to love this one.
Rim to Rim; Grand Canyon Celebration of Art 2018
14.5 minute adventure video of a Rim to Rim backpacking adventure through the Grand Canyon, from the North Rim to the South over 4 days 3 nights during the 2018 Celebration of Art Invitational in September. This video features stunning scenery, the Polyptich frame and the final presentation now hanging permanently in the El Tovar Cocktail lounge on the South Rim. 17 small paintings were done on the walk through adventure and are highlighting the centerpiece of the frame depicting the wondrous Cape Royal on the North Rim looking to the South.

Maui No Ka Oi; 30 Days of Painting On-Location
In this 9.25 minute video I travel to the Hawaiian Island of Maui to paint. The scenery is amazing, and the painting and adventuring around the island is even better. I paint with friends William Houston and Katya Minkina as they host me for a few days and show me their favorite spots around the Hana area. During the video I create the paintings for the polyptich frame you see in the thumbnail and many others. I think I did over 60 paintings while over there.
Just Go Paint; Missouri Lakes, CO
In this 10.5 minute video I hope to inspire getting out there in nature and wandering around with no agenda. Painting on painting after another and coming home with a beautiful body of work. The video has absolutely stunning views of one of Colorado’s premier basins, the Missouri Lakes in the Sawatch Range of Central Colorado. This area is part of the Holy Cross Wilderness area and has very easy access and an amazing trail. There was a major avalanche that occurred in 2019 which impacted the main trail, so be sure to check on the current status, as always with such places.
‘On The Plein Air Circuit; Grand Canyon Association’s Celebration of Art‘
A 13 minute inspirational and educational video featuring block-ins, dealing with the protocols of a Plein Air Invitational, adventuring with an easel and many on-location works. It includes shenanigans on the South Rim with other painting friends, and a trip to Phantom Ranch and back using mules to haul painting and heavy camping gear.
10 Day float trip on the Colorado River, through Grand Canyon National Park, 2015
11.5 minute inspirational and educational video showcasing a grand float trip with Arizona Rafting Adventures, AZRA. A fun painting adventure with great painters and good friends in a magical wilderness, unplugged for 10 days. This trip in 2015 costed 3500.00 dollars. I created 40 paintings on the trip, averaging 4/day. When including the studio paintings I’ve done from photo references gathered on the trip, I alone have earned over $100,000.00 in sales of paintings from this one trip alone. We can’t afford not to take trips like this, folks.
